U.S. women's lax team to train at NU

Niagara Gazette — The U.S. Women’s National Lacrosse Team announced it will train in preparation for its upcoming appearance at the 2013 Federation of International Lacrosse World Cup at Niagara Field on the Niagara University campus the weekend of July 5-7.

Players will arrive on Friday, July 5, then hold practices the following Saturday and Sunday. Two training sessions are scheduled for Saturday, July 6, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. and then from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. The Sunday workout is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m.

Team USA, which has won six world women's lacrosse titles, will seek to defend its 2009 gold medal when the World Cup is held in Oshawa, Ont., July 11-20.
