FC Buffalo wins on the road

Niagara Gazette — FC Buffalo won the first of its two road games in Michigan on Friday night, blanking FC Sparta Michigan, 4-0, at Hurley Field in Berkeley.

Ben Ramin scored twice for FC Buffalo while Brian Knapp and Asani Samuels added single tallies. Goalkeeper Kareem Gray earned the "clean sheet".

With the win, FC Buffalo improved its record to 7-1, giving head coach Brendan Murphy, in his debut season, the new record for most coaching wins with FC Buffalo, surpassing previous record holder Jim Hesch.

The Blitzers, now in second place in the National Premier Soccer League's Great Lakes division, will play at division-leading Detroit City FC on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.
