Wilson's Tubo earns eighth soccer shutout

Niagara Gazette — Katlynne Tubo made six saves to earn her eighth shutout of the high school girls' soccer season, as Wilson blanked Roy-Hart, 3-0.

Marina Muth, Lauren Austin and Kayla Neuman scored the goals for Wilson, who improved their record to 13-0-2 overall and 11-0-2 in the Niagara-Orleans League. Roy-Hart's record in the N-O league stands at 4-8-1.


Wilson 3, Grand Island 2

Emily Lasher had 32 assists to lead Wilson to a tough-earned victory over Grand Island, 25-27, 26-24, 18-25, 25-23, 25-23.

Allie Bubar had nine kills for the winners while Alyssa Schlosser had 35 digs. For Grand Island, Lindsay Proctor had 16 digs and seven aces. Bri Brandon had 18 digs for the Vikings while Sharon Holt had nine kills.


Ken East 4, Amherst 1

The Bulldogs (5-8 overall) defeated the Tigers in a non-league matchup, winning in four sets, 25-21, 25-27, 25-15, 25-11. 

Rob Mol led Kenmore East with 25 assists.
