NU hockey's Ignagni, Dineen honored by AHA

Niagara Gazette — Niagara University freshman goaltenderĀ Adrian Ignagni and sophomore defenseman Matt Dineen were both named to the Atlantic Hockey Association's Honor Roll on Tuesday, two of seven players recognized by the conference in its weekly honors.

Both Niagara players were honored for their roles in the Purple Eagles' 6-4 comeback win over Canisius on October 12. Ignagni entered the game midway through the second period and stopped all shots he faced, while Dineen scored a goal and an assist.

Ignagni was also honored by Niagara's athletics department as its Student-Athlete of the Week. He currently holds a 1-1 record with a goals-against average of 1.22 and a save percentage of .957.

The Purple Eagles, 1-2 overall but 1-0 in Atlantic Hockey, travel to Robert Morris University on Saturday.
