Starpoint 4, Lockport 1

Austin Speaker pitched a complete-game one-hitter and knocked in the go-ahead runs in the bottom of the fifth inning for the Spartans. Speaker struck out 15 and hits a two-run triple with Starpoint trailing in the fifth. Alex O’Donnell had an RBI and Bobby McKeown finished 2 for 3.

North Tonawanda 4, Wilson 0

Taylor Mellott helped the Lumberjacks (1-0) get off to a hot start this season, pitching the final four innings to earn the win while going 1 for 3 at the plate with an RBI. Matt Noakes pitched the first three innings, and he and Mellott combined for 13 strikeouts. Jim Burns went 2 for 2 with two stolen bases and two runs scored.

Chris Reid gave up three of the four runs on the mound for Wilson. Derek Martin led the team at the plate going 2 for 3 with a walk.

Clarence 11,Niagara Falls 0

The Wolverines (0-1) were held too just three hits by the Red Devils. Only Mike Colosi, Joe D’Angelo and Dylan Cardinali were able to get into the hit column.


Niagara Falls 13, Wilson 0

Marlee Hilliard pitched the entire game for Niagara Falls (2-0) and threw 10 strikeouts. The Wolverines caught fire at the plate as Jerri Ann Orfano and Jennifer Marshall each went 2 for 3 with four RBIs. Toni Polk went a perfect 3 for 3 with two RBIs.

Albion 11, Lew-Port 8

Vicki Waugaman went 1 for 1 with three walks and struck out three in three innings of relief for the Lancers (0-1). Lizzie Raby started the game and struck out four in four innings while going 1 for 3 at the plate. Theresa Fleckenstein went 1 for 2.
