Niagara Gazette — Mother Nature just doesn't seem to be a baseball fan. Once again, rain forced the postponement of the Niagara Power's scheduled games, this time a doubleheader Monday on the road at the Hornell Dodgers.
As a result, what was supposed to be an upcoming weekend off for the Power will instead be occupied with makeup games. Hornell will play host on Saturday, beginning at 6 p.m., as well as Sunday, beginning at 4 p.m.
Weather permitting, the Power will travel to Olean Tuesday to begin a two-day, three-game road series with the Oilers. The two teams will play a doubleheader on Tuesday. The first game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m., with the second game set to begin around 4 p.m.
The series is scheduled to conclude on Wednedsay at 5 p.m.
Niagara will play an exhibition game on the road against the Elmira Pioneers of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League on Independence Day, then return home Friday for their only home game of the week, Friday against Olean at 7 p.m. at Sal Maglie Stadium.
