Niagara Gazette — Bisons end series at Gwinnett with win

The Buffalo Bisons led for most of the game but went on a five-run tear in the top of the ninth to seal its win over the Gwinnett Braves, 8-2, closing out their series at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville, Ga.

Luis Jiminez went 3 for 5 for Buffalo, hitting a double and driving home three runs. Jim Negrych also doubled for the Herd.

Todd Redmond (3-1) was Buffalo’s winning pitcher while Mickey Storey got the save. Omar Poveda (5-5) took the loss for the Braves.

Buffalo (41-39) opens a three-game series today in Charlotte against the Knights. Today’s game is scheduled for a 7:15 p.m. start.
