Thunder, Rockets winners in PAL hoops

Niagara Gazette — Vinzell Watkins scored 29 points, leading the Thunder to a 94-92 victory over the Lakers in Niagara Police Athletic League spring basketball action.

J.J. Wilks and Franklin Jones both netter 20 points for the winners.  Jay Scarborough scored 25 points for the Lakers, while P.J. Crittenton added 21 points and Jamere Ollison scored 16.

In other PAL Spring League action, the Rockets routed the Grizzlies, 114-73.  Quandray Gray led the Rockets in scoring with 39 points.  Calvin Agy scored 33 points while Jordan Street recorded 25 points for the Rockets.

Leading the Grizzlies in scoring was Matt McDonald with 20 points.  Putter Brown added 18 while Jermaine Crumpton scored 16 points for the Grizzlies.
