Bobcats move into first in youth football

Niagara Gazette — The Niagara-Wheatfield Athletic Association Bobcats handed the Clarence Silver its first loss of the Niagara Youth Football League season, as the Bobcats prevailed 14-12 in the 100-pound division. 

Joey DeWolf rushed for 41 yards and a touchdown, while Anthony Lozina ran for 37 yards and a touchdown. Lozina also caught four passes for 55 yards. On defense, DeWolf, Lozina, Justin Ayala, Adam Lloyd, Chris Reynolds and Evan Stickney combined for 37.5 tackles. Lloyd forced a fumble which was recovered by Ayala.

With the win the Bobcats moved into first place in the division.

• Elsewhere in the 100-pound division, the Lew-Port Rams defeated the Lockport Bandits, 33-13. Jalen Duff rushed for 182 yards, three touchdowns and passed for 94 yards. Spencer reisman ran for 87 yards and two rushing touchdowns and caught for 80 yards. Matt Brown led the Rams defense with 10 tackles. Robert Woods, Joe HIbbard and Justin Dillon had five tackles each. Reisman had eight tackles while Duff had an interception and fumble recovery.
