NF native Hill hired as Buffalo Stars skills coach

Niagara Gazette — Niagara Falls native Jason Hill has joined the Buffalo Stars amateur hockey organization, based at Holiday Twin Rinks in Cheektowaga, as a coach on its Buffalo Stars Skills staff.

The 29-year-old Hill played four years of college hockey at Buffalo Stars College, from 2005-2009, scoring 35 goals and 96 assists in 90 games with the Bengals. After leaving college, Hill played for several minor pro teams in leagues including the Central Hockey League, Southern Professional Hockey League, International Hockey League and Federal Hockey League.

As a senior he set the Bengals’ single-season record with 39 assists, which also ranked No. 1 in the nation for Division III players.

In a written statement by the Buffalo Stars, the team calls Hill a "valuable added asset to the Buffalo Stars Skills coaching staff that brings an intense pedal to the metal attitude and work ethic that will be shared with the players."
