NU downs Canisius in women's soccer

Niagara Gazette — Niagara University's women's soccer team earned some precious points Wednesday evening in the Battle of the Bridge rivalry series with its 1-0 win over Canisius College at Niagara Field.

Danielle Kennedy scored the game's only goal, as Claire Feiertag stopped seven shots by the Golden Griffins to earn the shutout.

With the victory, the Purple Eagles improved to 3-9-0 overall and 2-2-0 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play, while the Golden Griffins drop to 3-8-1 on the year and 1-2-0 in the MAAC.
