Purple Eagles Notes: NU-Bona lacrosse moves to Niagara

Niagara Gazette — A women’s lacrosse game between Niagara University and St. Bonaventure that was scheduled to be played today in Olean has been moved to Niagara Field.

The game begins this afternoon at 4 p.m.

It’s the latest weather-related adjustment to the Purple Eagles’ lacrosse schedule. Last week’s scheduled home game against University of Detroit Mercy was postponed due to the snowstorm.

Live stats and video of today’s game are available at

Weather also played a role in Niagara’s softball schedule.

The Purple Eagles’ scheduled doubleheader at Youngstown State was rained out and postponed until Thursday, April 24.

The team, now 7-9 overall, travels to Moon Township, Pa. to face Robert Morris University on Friday followed by a road trip to the University of Akron on Saturday.

In other news from Niagara softball, pitcher Jennifer Sansano was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference’s Pitcher of the Week.
