NU Hockey forces Game Three

Niagara Gazette — The Niagara University hockey team is still in the playoff hunt.

The Purple Eagles doubled up on Air Force in Game Two, 4-2, to force a third and deciding Atlantic Hockey Association playoff game late Saturday night in Colorado Springs.

Niagara Falls natives Vince Muto and Pat Conte scored two of the Purple Eagles’ goals. Hugo Turcotte netted Niagara’s other goals. Conte’s goal proved to be the game winner.

Goalie Jackson Teichroeb got the win for the Purple Eagles, stopping 23 shots. 

Key players including Isaac Kohls and Brock Edwards remained out of the lineup due to injuries.

Tonight’s game at Cadet Ice Arena begins at 9:05 p.m. Eastern Time.
