Niagara women's lax falls to Duquesne

Niagara Gazette — Carrie-Jo Farrugia and Brittany Delano both scored twice for Niagara University, but Amanda Kidder’s five-goal performance led Duquesne in its 19-6 win over the Purple Eagles on Sunday evening in Buffalo.

Niagara (2-3) was outshot by the Dukes (3-1) 32-14 and outscored by 13-4 by halftime.

Maria Battista and Erin Patenaude also scored goals for the Purple Eagles.

The game was moved from Niagara Field to the Demske Sports Complex on the campus of Canisius College in Buffalo. 

Niagara next hosts University of Detroit Mercy on Friday afternoon at 3 p.m.
