The Buffalo Junior Sabres 20U team hosts its final home game of 2013 tonight at the Northtown Center at Amherst against Ontario Junior Hockey League opponent Mississauga Chargers, beginning at 8 p.m.

The Jr. Sabres, who lost 5-4 to St. Michael’s in the OJHL’s first-ever outdoor game at Frontier Field in Rochester last weekend, remain in first place in the OJHL’s West Division with 43 points, leading second-place Milton by two points but holding four games in hand.

The Jr. Sabres roster includes several local players including Lewiston’s Ben Casale, Wheatfield’s Ryan Kuhn and North Tonawanda’s Nick Smith. Another local connection is Dennis Gilbert, who has committed to Niagara University beginning in academic year 2015-16.
