2 locals earn at-large wrestling bids

Niagara Gazette — Wrestlers from Lewiston-Porter and Niagara Falls have earned at-large bids to the New York State championships, as announced Wednesday by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association.

Ryan Kromer, a senior at Lew-Port, earned a Division II (small school) bid at 152 pounds, while Donny McCoy, a sophomore at Niagara Falls, earned a spot at 120 pounds in Division I.

Delbert Marshall, another Lew-Port senior, was named an alternate at 132 pounds in Division II. He'll only compete if another athlete drops out.

The state championships are scheduled for Feb. 28-March 1 in Albany.
