Angela Goodman won the pentathlon with a score of 2,083 — 207 more than second place — to lead the Wilson boys and girls track teams in the All-Niagara-Orleans meet that took place Wednesday and Thursday at Roy-Hart.
Goodman was the lone first-place finisher for Wilson. Zipporah Barrett (second, 400, 1:05.22) and Erin Harding (tied for second, pole vault, 7 feet, 6 inches) were the only other girls to place.
The Lakemen managed to place in seven races on the boys' side, led by second-place finishes by Justin Stephenson (400, 54.62), Mike Patterson (high jump, 5 feet, 6 inches) and Brian Kerwin (shot put, 44 feet, 5-3/4 inches).
Zach Sarratori (100, 12.39), Nick Bell (400 hurdles, 1:00.97) and Dan Rorhing (high jump, 5 feet, 4 inches) finished third, as did the team in the 400 relay (3:46.81).
Grand Island 18, Amherst 11
Mark McKenna went 4 for 6 with two triples and four RBIs, Chris Foote was 4 for 5 with a triple and a RBI and Adam Stanczyk went 2 for 4 with a double and knocked in four runs for the Vikings (12-6). Nick Soos, Josh Ungaro, Jake Lawely and Quinn Corrao chipped in two hits apiece.

Austin Speaker finished with four RBIs and a run, Brett Guay knocked in three on a double and Zach Monell hit a two-RBI triple to lead the Spartans (15-4), who blew the game open with an eight-run second inning. Chris Cribbs scattered seven hits in six innings while striking out seven in the win, and Alex O'Donnell struck out two in the seventh to finish the game. Jordan Willard went 2 for 3 for the Lancers.
Orchard Park 8, Nia.-Wheatfield 4
Wyatt Fauzey made 17 saves, but it wasn't for the Falcons (9-6) against the top team in Western New York. Zach Dubuc, Tyler Kilgour, Seth Ferguson and Ryan Koch each scored for N-W, which received a bye into Tuesday's Class B Quarterfinals.

Megan Carroll scored half her team's goals and Mia Villani added a hat trick for the Vikings, who play at 2-W. Sen. East at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday in the quarterfinals.
