SABRES: Tellqvist won’t start; Moore's status uncertain

The deals Buffalo made at the trade deadline won’t have much of an effect on tonight’s meeting with the Phoenix Coyotes. Goalie Michael Tellqvist, who was acquired from Phoenix, is not expected to get the start in nets tonight, and forward Dominic Moore’s paperwork had not been officially processed as of late Thursday.

If Moore’s United States Visa is cleared and he is able to play, Lindy Ruff said Thursday he expects to pair him with Derek Roy, which means Roy would be shifted to the wing.

“That’s based on the fact that Derek has played some of his best hockey over there,” Ruff told’s Erin Pollina. “I’ve given a lot of thought as to where to play him ... I think we’ll take it game-to-game and I’m excited to get a look at him.”
