BLOTTER: Police reports published Feb. 23

Niagara Falls

• ARREST: A Falls woman was arrested after a domestic incident in the 800 block of Niagara Avenue at 11:45 a.m. Thursday. Janice Karissa Bugay, 28, 4600 Hyde Park Blvd. Apt. 119, was charged with second-degree assault, second-degree menacing and second-degree harassment.

 
• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested after a shoplifting incident at a store in the 1000 block of Portage Road at 12:20 a.m. Thursday. Stanley Leroy Whitfield, 48, 1314 Ashland Ave, Apt. 4, was charged with petit larceny. He is accused of taking more than $65 worth of food without paying for it.

 
• BURGLARY: Officers are looking into a burglary and theft from a home in the 200 block of 70th Street. A 68-year-old man told police that sometime between Sept. 1 and 3 p.m. Thursday, someone broke into his home by using a key from a realtor lock box. The victim said a stove and refrigerator were taken.

 
• ARREST: A Falls woman was arrested after a shoplifting incident at a store in the 1000 block of Portage Road at 2:50 p.m. Thursday. Shardah Lanee Nicholas, 24, 440 Ninth St. Apt. 2, was charged with petit larceny and endangering the welfare of a child. She is accused of taking more than $72 worth of merchandise without paying for it.

 
• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 9000 block of Zito Drive. A 22-year-old woman told officers that sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Thursday, someone broke into her home by unknown means. The victim said a 32 inch flatscreen TV and a laptop computer were taken.

    Police are investigating a theft from a convenience store in the 2600 block of Niagara Street. A clerk told officers that four suspects, two males and two females, entered the store at 5:32 a.m. Wednesday and one of the women brought several items to the counter and paid for them with a New York state benefit card.

    Police are investigating a burglary in the 2500 block of 29th Street. An agent with the CSX Railroad Security Department told officers that sometime between April 4 and noon Monday, someone forced open the door to a storage shed on his company’s property.
