Niagara Falls

• THEFT: Police are investigating a reported theft from a home in the 2400 block of Linwood Avenue between the hours of midnight and 6 a.m. Saturday. The victim, a 19-year-old woman, told officers she was out with a friend at a hotel where she said she had two drinks. She said she doesn’t remember anything that happened next until she was dropped off at her residence. She said 90 Xanax pills, her birth certificate and $50 cash was missing.

 
• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested after harassing the police department’s telephone operator at 11:30 p.m. Friday. Mark Reynolds, 41, 9890 Niagara Falls Blvd., was charged with second-degree aggravated harassment and resisting arrest after officers responded to repeated calls he made about wanting to hurt his girlfriend. Police report while attempting to handcuff Reynolds, who had multiple abrasions on his face, he began fighting police and lunged at an officer. The report said Reynolds was eventually subdued and handcuffed.

 
• ARREST: Two Falls residents were arrested following a knife incident at 12:44 a.m. Saturday in the 2100 block of Main Street. Aaron Jackson, 44, 1135 Ontario Ave., was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree menacing and Miriam Jackson, 47, 2119 Main St., was charged with second-degree assault with a weapon after a fight in an apartment building. The victim, a 22-year-old wheelchair-bound woman told officers she was trying to get to her apartment when Aaron Jackson started yelling at her and punched her on the left side of her head. She said she retreated to her apartment and grabbed a knife for protection. That’s when she alleges Miriam Jackson grabbed the knife from her and held it to her throat.

 
• SHOOTING: Police are investigating a reported shooting in the 3200 block of Highland Avenue at approximately 12:20 a.m. Saturday. Police say the victim, a 26-year-old Falls man, was standing outside when he heard a pop. He said he looked down and was bleeding from the stomach. He reportedly drove his own vehicle to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for treatment. A witness said she was sitting in the vehicle the victim drove when the incident occurred. She said she heard three pops then saw a dark-colored Dodge Challenger drive south on Highland Avenue.

    Police are investigating a theft from a convenience store in the 2600 block of Niagara Street. A clerk told officers that four suspects, two males and two females, entered the store at 5:32 a.m. Wednesday and one of the women brought several items to the counter and paid for them with a New York state benefit card.

    A 54-year-old motorcyclist was flown to Erie County Medical Center by Mercy Flight after he collided with another motorcycle on Hartland Road Saturday afternoon.

    Police are investigating a burglary in the 2500 block of 29th Street. An agent with the CSX Railroad Security Department told officers that sometime between April 4 and noon Monday, someone forced open the door to a storage shed on his company’s property.
