BLOTTER: Police reports published Nov. 6

Niagara Falls

• ROBBERY: Police are investigating a robbery in the 600 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard. A 57-year-old woman told officers she was walking in the area at 11:50 p.m. Sunday, when two men approached her. One of the suspects asked her if she had a lighter and when she went to look in her purse, the the other suspect knocked her to the ground and took her purse. The suspects then fled in an unknown direction.

• THEFT: Officers are looking into a theft from the 2500 block of Seneca Avenue. A business owner told police that sometime between 4 p.m. Friday and 7:30 a.m. Monday someone entered a secured storage area by damaging a metal gate. The victim said 800 feet of welding cable was taken.

• ARREST: A Falls woman was arrested after a shoplifting incident at a store in the 1000 block of Portage Road at 3:35 p.m. Monday. Patricia Ann Shaw, 32, 1319 LaSalle Ave., was charged with petit larceny. Shaw is accused of taking a pregnancy test without paying for it.

• ARREST: A Falls woman was arrested after a shoplifting incident at a store in the 1500 block of Military Road at 12:30 p.m. Sunday. Brook Leilani Vargas, 23, 1929 Welch Ave., Apt.1, was charged with petit larceny. Vargas is accused of taking $39 worth of clothing without paying for it.
