Niagara Falls

• THEFT: Police are investigating a theft at 7:20 p.m. Friday from a store in the 1700 block of Pine Avenue. A store employee said a black man wearing a puffy jacket left the business with what appeared to be many products tucked under the coat. She said the man fled toward 17th Street and she chased after him. Eventually, he surrendered four cases of Red Bull energy drink, but she said there appeared to be more under the jacket he didn't give up. He reportedly fled on foot into an alley, though the employee tld police he'd arrived on a bike, still outside the store. The man is described by the employee to be about 6-foot-1, with his hair braided and with buck teeth. The value of the Red Bull is listed at $32.

• ARREST: A Town of Niagara woman was arrested following a trespass incident between 12:15 and 12L45 a.m. Saturday at a hotel and casino in the 300 block of Sixth Street. Regina Marchetti, 31, 3350 Miller Road, Apt. 2, was charged with trespass after casino security identified her as unwanted within its premises dating back to an incident in October 2012. When asked by police, she reportedly said she remembered signing an exclusion document keeping her from the premises, but was unaware it was indefinite. She was issued an appearance ticket and left.

• DWI: David M. Wilson, 19, 949 Ontario Ave., was charged with DWI and speeding about 1:30 a.m. Saturday. Stopped for driving 71 mph in a 50 mph zone on Walmore Road, Wilson was determined to be intoxicated and failed field sobriety tests. His blood alcohol content was measured at 0.08 percent.

• DWI: Charles P. McCausland IV, 41, 4479 Ide Road, was charged with aggravated DWI (BAC more than 0.18 percent), drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on the highway, DWI and traffic infractions about 4:15 p.m. Saturday, according to Niagara County Sheriff's deputies. McCausland was stopped after a deputy saw him drive on to the shoulder of the road. He appeared intoxicated and failed field sobriety tests. An open container of vodka was found in his vehicle, behind the passenger's seat, deputies said. A chemical test determined McCausland's blood alcohol content to be 0.36 percent.
