• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 2100 block of North Street. A 47-year-old man told officers that sometime between Dec. 30 and 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, someone broke into his garage by kicking in a door. The victim said a snowblower was taken.

• BURGLARY: Officers are looking into a burglary in the 2600 block of Whirlpool Street. A 63-year-old man told police that sometime between 2 p.m. Wednesday and 8:45 a.m. Thursday, someone broke into a vacant home he was working on by prying open a rear window of the residence. The victim said a generator and some food were taken.

Town of Lockport

• TRESPASS: A Fisk Road woman said that an unknown woman walked into her house around 1 a.m. Friday and asked where her “Uncle Danny” was, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office said. The woman asked the unknown woman to leave her house, and told her that there wasn’t an “Uncle Danny” in the house. The unknown woman left in a white car. A deputy from the Sheriff’s Office also found footprints in the snow along the fence in the woman’s backyard. A search of the area failed to turn up anything.

Town of Wilson

• FRAUD: A Cleveland Avenue woman reported that someone used her social security number to file taxes illicitly, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office said. The Internal Revenue Service directed the woman to make a police report with her local police agency.
