• GUN FOUND: Staff at a motel on the 9000 Niagara Falls Boulevard called Falls police Tuesday morning after finding a handgun a guest had left in a room after checking out. The gun was in a cloth gun case with two 15-round magazines. The gun was not loaded. Paperwork in the case indicated the weapon was purchased in California.

• SHOTS FIRED: Falls police were called to a Livingston Avenue address late Tuesday night for a report of shots fired at a house. When they arrived, officers determined someone had shot at the windshield of a car with a pellet gun. The resident said she thought she saw an ex-boyfriend driving from the scene. She told police they had just ended their relationship and she had informed his wife that he had been cheating on her. Officers went to the man's house but found him in his pajamas and noted his car was cold and wasn't driven recently.
