Two Lewiston teens were charged after Lewiston police spotted them rummaging through dresser drawers in a Oak Hill Drive home about 10:15 a.m. Tuesday.
The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office reported that the two suspects — a 19-year-old Lewiston man and a 16-year-old Lewiston girl — both initially resisted arrest but were eventually handcuffed.
Both the Lewiston Police Department and the sheriff’s office are continuing to investigate the incident.

Stolen vehicles found by deputies
A pair of vehicles reported stolen were found by sheriff’s deputies on Monday in the town.
About 6 p.m., deputies were called to a 2007 Chevy Silverado found stripped in the woods behind a Black Nose Spring Road address. When a deputy arrived, he found the burned-out and stripped vehicle up against a tree in a mud puddle, The deputy also found that two men were putting chains around the burnt-out frame. The vehicle’s cab and body were removed from the frame and other parts had been stripped off as well. The two men said they were moving the frame so they could go “mudding.”
Only the cab was recovered Monday. Deputies said the rest of the truck, reported stolen out of Niagara Falls, would be removed later.
A couple hours later, deputies recovered a ‘93 Ford reported stolen out of the Falls, in a field behind a Chew Road address.
