• RECOVERED CAR: Sheriff's deputies were called to an area about 1,200 feet from Blacknose Springs Road on Tuesday for a recovered stolen vehicle. Deputies found a pickup truck that was stripped, burned and in two pieces. The vehicle had been reported stolen from a Wilson man on Aug. 30. The report noted that on Sept. 4, Lewiston police recovered several DirecTV items in that same area that were reported in the stolen pickup.
• RECOVERED CAR: Sheriff's deputies found an undisclosed vehicle destroyed by fire in a field about 700 feet south of the intersection of Mount Hope and Green roads shortly after midnight on Sept. 8. The car had been reported stolen on Sept. 5 from the rear alley of 18th Street in Niagara Falls. The catalytic converter had been cut off the vehicle, which was found on its side in the field.
• INVESTIGATION: Sheriff's deputies were informed last week that employees of a group home on Mount View Drive were being tested for drug use after a complaint. A manager at the home said an anonymous caller contacted their administration building corporate compliance line and stated there was drug use by the employees at the location. Due to the accusation all employees at that location were drug tested and it was reported to police because it is their company policy. She refused to take a breath test.
• PETIT LARCENY: Christina L. Price, 30, 2577 Daniels Road, was charged with petit larceny Friday. Sheriff’s deputies responded to the report of a Windows smart phone valued at $500 being taken from the top of a locker at Wilson High School. The family locator was used to find the phone in Niagara Falls where Price is employed. Price who is a substitute custodian at Wilson High School, admitted to taking the cell, according to the report.
