BLOTTER: Police reports published Sept. 23

Niagara Falls

• MISCHIEF: Police are investigating a reported mischievous action at 3:06 a.m. Friday in the 1700 block of Pine Avenue. A man hired by a fast food restaurant to repaint the business’s drive-thru lane told police a black man driving a red Chevrolet Cavalier with two passengers pulled into the closed drive-thru, despite the entrance being barricaded by traffic cones. He said he was able to get the driver’s attention and told him he needed to reverse to get out as the paint he was stenciling was still wet. He said the driver laughed and drove forward over the paint, streaking it to the exit onto Pine Avenue. He said the work will cost $300 to strip and repaint. A check of the vehicle, which according to police belongs to a Clayton, N.Y. woman, was unsuccessful, according to reports.
