BLOTTER: Police reports published Oct. 21

— Niagara Falls

THEFT: Police are investigating a reported theft which occurred between noon Monday and 9 a.m. Friday in the 2200 block of Niagara Street. The victim, a 56-year-old woman, told police her tenant was moving out of an apartment Monday. However, when she entered the apartment Friday, both the stove and refrigerator were missing. She said there was no sign of forced entry and the tenant was the only one with access to the unit.

THEFT: Officers are investigating a reported theft which occurred between 9 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday in the 400 block of 78th Street. A 30-year-old woman said her son left his tuba on the front porch of a friend's house nearby. When he went to retrieve the instrument, it was gone, she said. The tuba is valued at $300.

ARREST: Police made two unrelated shoplifting arrests at a supermarket in the 1000 block of Portage Road Friday morning. Shawn Stephen, 44, of an unknown address in Niagara Falls was charged with petit larceny after a store employee reportedly witnessed him remove food items and place them into a plastic bag and attempt to leave the store without paying at 10:15 a.m. Then, officers reportedly arrested Marshell Williams, 43, 1102 Main St., and charged her with petit larceny after she was reportedly witnessed putting food into her purse and attempted to leave the store without paying at 11:15 a.m.

THEFT: Police are investigating a reported theft which occurred between 5 and 6 a.m. Friday in the 8700 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard. The victim, a 39-year-old Falls man, said he was with a prostitute overnight and paid her for her services. He said he fell asleep for an hour and woke up to find the prostitute gone and $1,200 missing from his wallet.

BURGLARY: Officers are investigating a reported burglary which occurred between 11 p.m.Thursday and 4:30 p.m. Friday in the 600 block of 20th Street. The victim, a 31-year-old woman, told officers someone stole three bicycles, a stove and miscellaneous clothing from her garage storage. She said she returned home from work earlier in the week to her garage door missing. She said she photographed her belongings in the garage in case they were stolen.

A clerk told officers that four suspects, two males and two females, entered the store at 5:32 a.m. Wednesday and one of the women brought several items to the counter and paid for them with a New York state benefit card.

    Police are investigating a burglary in the 2500 block of 29th Street. An agent with the CSX Railroad Security Department told officers that sometime between April 4 and noon Monday, someone forced open the door to a storage shed on his company’s property.
