• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 1000 block of Ferry Avenue. A 44-year-old man told officers that sometime between 5 p.m. Saturday and noon Sunday, someone broke into his vacant rental property by pushing open an unlocked basement window. The victim said a quantity of copper pipe was taken.

• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested after he stole a coffee maker from the NCCC Culinary Institute at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Jeffrey Douglas Stewart, 45, 408 Fifth St., Apt. 1, was charged with petit larceny. A security guard and a college employee both told officers they saw Stewart enter the institute, pick up a coffee maker and then walk off. The crime was captured on video by surveillance cameras. Stewart later told officers that if they would release him on an appearance ticket, he would tell them where he took the stolen coffee maker.

• ARREST: A Falls woman was arrested on drunken driving, drug and other charges after a traffic stop in the 200 block of 72nd Street at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. Autum K. Burns, 18, 212 72nd St., was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, driving while under the influence of drugs, driving without a license, failure to signal, endangering the welfare of a child and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

• THEFT: Officers are looking into a van break-in in the 1800 block of North Avenue. A 43-year-old woman told police that sometime between 1:15 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, someone broke into her 2000 Dodge Caravan by unknown means. The victim said a GPS system was taken.

• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 1600 block of Ontario Avenue. A 65-year-old man told officers that sometime between 2 p.m. Tuesday and 6 p.m. Wednesday, someone broke into his storage building by dropping down a work shaft from the roof. The victim said a guitar, some amps and a large amount of recording equipment were taken.

Lewiston

• ARREST: Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a Sanborn man in connection with the robbery of a Lewiston mini-mart on March 7. Shawn Harris, 28, was charged with third-degree robbery and petit larceny. Harris was identified as a suspect because of a DNA database match.
