Niagara Falls

• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested following a traffic stop at 7:10 p.m. Friday in the 1800 block of Niagara Avenue. Jermaine Brown, 35, 1336 LaSalle Ave., was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and failure to use a turn signal while driving after officers report he failed to use his signal pulling away from the curb into traffic. When he was stopped, officers report Brown made numerous movements in the car, causing it to bounce. He was reportedly asked to step out of the car and a search allegedly revealed a bag of marijuana in his jacket.

 
• ARREST: A Falls woman was arrested following a shoplifting incident at 8:15 p.m. Friday from a store in the 1500 block of Military Road. Melanie Stine, 35, 494 21st St., was charged with petit larceny after a store employee said he witnessed Stine place 19 items from the store into her purse and left without paying.

 
• ARREST: Two Falls women were arrested following an argument which took place at 12:40 p.m. Saturday in the 200 block of 70th Street. Shaquana Jones, 19, 237 78th St., was charged with third-degree assault while Rauzanae Brown, 17, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief. They were verbally arguing inside when Brown allegedly punched two holes in a wall in Jones’s residence. They went outside to the residence’s porch, where Jones allegedly punched Brown in the face and pushed her to the ground, causing her to fall approximately 5 feet and causing injury.

• CHARGED: Myles D. Agee, 23, 1015 South Ave., Niagara Falls, was charged Saturday with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle after a traffic stop on Akron Road. According to the report, it was determined that Agee had a suspended licensed during the ensuing interview.
   
Town of Lockport

 
• DWI: Talon M. Colbert, 20, 1713 Grand Island Boulevard, Grand Island, was charged Saturday with driving while intoxicated and multiple vehicle and traffic violations after a traffic stop. According to the report, a Niagara County Sheriff’s patrol observed Colbert’s vehicle traveling at 96 mph in a 40 mph section of Chestnut Ridge Road. After a brief pursuit, Colbert was observed to have glassy eyes, slurred speech and seemed disorientated during the interview. He failed multiple field sobriety tests and was later found to have a 0.16 blood alcohol content.

    Police are investigating a theft from a convenience store in the 2600 block of Niagara Street. A clerk told officers that four suspects, two males and two females, entered the store at 5:32 a.m. Wednesday and one of the women brought several items to the counter and paid for them with a New York state benefit card.

    A Ransomville man with alcohol-related convictions was charged with felony driving while intoxicated Sunday night, the Niagara County Sheriff's Office said.

    Police are investigating a burglary in the 2500 block of 29th Street. An agent with the CSX Railroad Security Department told officers that sometime between April 4 and noon Monday, someone forced open the door to a storage shed on his company’s property.
