BLOTTER: Police reports published April 29

• RECOVERED VEHICLE: Niagara County Sheriff's deputies were called to the area of Meyers Lake about 1 a.m. Sunday for a report of a burning car. The fully engulfed car was about 400 feet east of Blacknose Spring Road, between Rainbow Lake and Meyers Lake. The deputy was able to determine that the 1998 Pontiac Bonneville had been reported stolen on April 17 by a Falls man.

• PROPERTY DAMAGE: The Niagara County Sheriff's Office received a call that live power wires were down on Tonawanda Creek Road around 6:15 p.m. Saturday, the Sheriff's Office said. The property owner where the lines were down said that a tractor trailer was driving by his home and the lights went out. When the man went outside to see what happened, he noticed the power meter was ripped off of his house. The man believes the tractor trailer was from an area farm, but was unable to get a license plate number. NYSEG responded to the area and secured the wires, the Sheriff's Office said.
