• ROBBERY: Police are investigating a robbery in the 9100 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard. A clerk told officers that a male suspect came in and out of his store, twice, at around 10:42 p.m. March 29. The suspect tried to make a withdrawal at an in-store ATM and then tried to buy a bottle of ice tea with a credit or debit card. The purchase was declined and the man left the store. When the suspect returned, he had his face covered and was holding a small knife. He told the clerk, “Give me the money.” The clerk opened his cash register and the suspect grabbed an undetermined amount of cash. He was last seen going south on Niagara Falls Boulevard. The robbery took place in front of two witnesses and was captured on tape by a video surveillance camera.
• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested on drugged driving and other charges after a traffic stop in the 600 block of Ninth Street at 1:14 a.m. Friday. Timothy Shawn Saunders Jr., 28, 2926 Hope Blvd., was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, unlicensed driver, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
• VANDALISM: Officers are looking into a case of vandalism in the 900 block of Buffalo Avenue. A businessman told police that sometime between 3 p.m. Wednesday and 11:30 a.m. Thursday, someone spray-painted graffiti on the south side of the former industrial building.
