Niagara Falls

• ASSAULT: Police are investigating an assault in the 700 block of Main Street. Witnesses said they saw a 52-year-old man hit in the head with a pipe as he tried to break up a fight between two other men. The victim was taken to the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo with a head injury. Officers recovered what appeared to be a quantity of crack cocaine at the scene.

• ASSAULT: Officers are also looking into an assault in the 600 block of 18th Street at 11:50 p.m. Wednesday. Responding officers said they found multiple female victims suffering from various stab wounds and exposure to pepper spray. Witnesses told police that “five cars full of people” had shown up and started a fight with the victims over an argument that began on Twitter. Police are seeking up to six suspects who were observed with “knives and were stabbing people.”
