LOCKPORT

Suspects arrested in Kingsmen assault

Four men and a woman face several felony charges Thursday after a reported assault at the Kingsmen Club on Saturday.

A Lockport man suffered several injuries after reportedly being struck with fists, a gun butt and ball bats. Guns and ammunition were stolen. 

Four of the five suspects have been arrested, according to Lockport Police Chief Larry Eggert. State Police arrested a man and woman in Middleport on Tuesday. Another man turned himself in on Wednesday and U.S. Marshals picked up fourth suspect in Lockport on Thursday.

John G. Cuillo, 57, 263 Green St.; Chester Schultz Jr., 1 Sherman Road, Middleport; Brian Ronald Rice, 8430 Rochester Road, Gasport; Owen D. Cheverie, 224 Grand St. and Raylene McGuire, 1 Sherman Road, Lot 38, Middleport were charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree assault, first-degree burglary; second-degree menacing; second-degree criminal mischief and fourth-degree grand larceny.

Police responded to the Kingsmen Club at 122 North Transit to investigate a robbery/assault. A Kingsmen member said he was robbed and beaten at gunpoint earlier in the evening by four other Kingsmen and a woman who was associated with the men.

The victim, who knows all the suspects, suffered head trauma, dizziness, incoherent time periods, facial and body pain, facial swelling and broke nose.

The victim’s Harley Davidson Motorcycle was damaged and the tires were slashed on his GMC SUV.

Weapons stolen included a 1945 German Mosier ($1,000); a Colt AR15 ($3,000); a Colt BushMaster ($3,000); An AK-74 folding stock ($2,000); and a Mossberg 500 pistol grip shotgun ($3,000). A Kingsmen ring, valued at $20, and a Galaxie cell phone were also taken.

• VANDALISM: Police are looking into an act of vandalism in the 6700 block of Buffalo Avenue. A property manager told officers that sometime between 9 a.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Monday, someone cut the brake line on his 1980 Chevy C-10. 

 North Tonawanda

• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: Brandon G. Starkweather, 21, who is listed as homeless, was charged at 1:50 p.m. on Wednesday with fourth-degree criminal mischief. He was held for court. 

• DWI: Faith L. Burtch, 34, 866 East Robinson St., Apt. C, was charged at 11:52 p.m. Wednesday near her home with DWI and four counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. She refused a Breathalyzer test and was held for court.
