LOCKPORT

Man found dead on porch

The county coroner and medical examiner will investigate the death of a man found dead by a passerby on a Washburn Street porch Monday at 7:30 p.m. The autopsy will be done at Erie County Medical Center today.

No foul play is suspected, according to Det. Lt. Scott Seekins of the Lockport Police Department. The identity of the 52-year-old local resident was withheld until notification of next of kin.

      

Pendleton

 DWI: Scott D. Lavey, 23, 932 Fairmont Ave., North Tonawanda, was charged with DWI Saturday. A deputy saw a driver and passenger of a car exit the vehicle on Bear Ridge Road, walk around to the opposite side and get back in at 4:21 a.m. Both men had glassy, bloodshot eyes. The driver, who was now sitting in the passenger seat, stated he could no longer drive and that's why they switched. He was identified as Lavey. According to the report, they both said they had been drinking alcohol. Lavey failed field sobriety tests. He registered 0.15 percent blood alcohol content.

North Tonawanda 

 DWI: Paul E. Morrow, 61, 717 Wurlitzer Drive, was charged at 3:34 p.m. Sunday with DWI and failure to yield the right of way. Morrow had a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent. He is being held in lieu of $750 bail. 

• CONTEMPT: Ramon P. Wright, 26, 528 28th St., Niagara Falls, was charged at 12:41 p.m. Sunday with second-degree criminal contempt. He was released for court on $250 bail.
