BLOTTER: Police reports published March 12

Town of Pendleton

TRESPASS: Robert McCarville, 25, 222 Church St., Robert Miller, 31, 164 Gooding St. and Bryan Wheeler, 26, 243 Pine St., all of Lockport, were charged with trespassing around 7:30 p.m. Monday, the Niagara County Sheriff's Office said. A Bear Ridge Road man reported two vehicles on his property, which led to the arrests.

FRAUD: A Meyer Road woman received a phone call telling her that she didn't pay her 2010 taxes, and that she was being sued around 3:30 p.m. Monday, the Niagara County Sheriff's Office said. The woman was given a number to call, and when she called, a man with an accent told her that she owed $2,000 to the IRS. After the woman said she paid her 2010 taxes, she was informed that she could either fill out a form that would be sent to her, or the local sheriff's department would be coming to her house within the hour to put her in jail for six months. The woman began to argue, and the man hung up on her. A dispatcher from the Sheriff's Office called the number using a fake name and was also informed that he didn't pay his taxes and would be sent to jail. The incident was sent to the Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Bureau.

City of Tonawanda

WARRANT: Ernest L. Ruffin, 36, of 23rd Street, Niagara Falls, was arrested Tuesday on a bench warrant for second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle. He was held for court.

Franjoine was also charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, for allegedly cutting security wires on a TV at the store, the sheriff's office said. Both men were taken to Niagara County Jail and held on $500 bail. They are due in Lockport Town Court on Thursday.
