BLOTTER: Police reports published Nov. 30

Niagara Falls

• THEFT: Officers are looking for a suspect in a theft from a convenience store in the 2600 block of Niagara Street. A manager told police that between 3:17 and 3:23 p.m. Wednesday, a male suspect entered the store and walked around, taking items off shelves and putting them in his coat. The suspect took more than $80 worth of merchandise.

 
• ARREST: Two men were arrested after being caught in the act of burglarizing a home in the 400 block of Fourth Street. Officers responded to a call of a “burglary in progress” at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday and as they arrived on the scene they spotted Malique LaJaune Rogers standing outside the house with “piping in his hands.” After surrounding the home, police saw a second suspect, Emanuel Lee Rogers, attempting to climb out of a third-floor window of the house. Both suspects were taken into custody. Inside the home, officers found a large quantity of pipe that had been stripped from the vacant dwelling. Emanuel Lee Rogers, 31, 192 Maple St. Apt. 1, Buffalo and Malique LaJaune Rogers, 36, 2216 Cudaback Ave., were each charged with second-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief and petit larceny.

 
• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 1800 block of Ontario Avenue. A 29-year-old woman told officers that sometime between 1:30 and 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, someone broke into her apartment by kicking in the front door. The victim said a quantity of jewelry and a DVD player were taken.

 
• BURGLARY: Officers are looking into a burglary in the 400 block of Memorial Parkway. A 21-year-old woman told police that sometime between 12:20 and 2 p.m. Wednesday, someone broke into her home by unknown means. The victim said a 42-inch television was taken.

 
• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 700 block of 17th Street. A 24-year-old man told officers that sometime between 2:50 and 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, someone broke into his apartment by unknown means. The victim said a PlayStation 3 game system and some video games were taken.

 
• ROBBERY: Officers are looking into a robbery in the area of 29th Street and North Avenue. A 51-year-old woman told police she was walking in that area at 7:14 p.m. Wednesday, when she was surrounded by three male suspects. The victim said one of the suspects displayed a black handgun, demanded money and then took her purse. The suspects were last seen walking west in the 2900 block of North Avenue.
