Niagara Falls

• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a reported burglary between 5 p.m. Thursday and 4 a.m. Friday from a residence in the 2500 block of Falls Street. The victim, a 20-year-old man, told officers he returned home with his wife and found a window open. Missing from his bedroom was a Playstation 3 video game console, a pair of earrings, two hats and $15 in loose change. Upon inspecting the scene, officers noted unusual surroundings, according to police, as several pieces of gold jewelry were unsecured on top of the dresser the victim claimed the earrings were taken from. The total value of the items was listed at $455. Officers report the husband and wife were both intoxicated and kept changing stories. No evidence was located at the scene, according to police.

• MISCHIEF: Police responded to a report of suspected burglary between 3:15 and 3:30 a.m. Friday at a residence in the 400 block of Sixth Street. Upon arrival, officers said there was a loud bang heard north of location. They observed several broken bricks in the roadway near two other police vehicles already on the scene. Police said the suspects were believed to be in an abandoned residence. A check of the premises was negative, but officers did find a broken pipe in the basement, causing water to flood the area. On the street, officers report a brick did strike one of the patrol cars, leaving gouge marks on the rear passenger side window of car No. 47.
