Niagara Falls

• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested following a reported theft at 10:08 p.m. Friday inside a casino in the 300 block of Fourth Street. Anthony Printup, 24, 27 Packard Court, was charged with two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny after casino security informed police of video evidence depicting Printup taking a woman’s wallet. Police said the evidence showed Printup and the victim sitting next to each other at a gaming table. The victim appears to take the wallet out of a bag and put it on her lap, police said, but time passes and the wallet falls to the ground without the victim realizing. Police said the woman leaves the area and Printup makes gestures with his lower body while sitting at the table, then leaves with a friend heading directly to the bathroom. Officers report questioning Printup in his hotel room, who told them he didn’t take the wallet. Security said it would conduct a thorough search of the room with Printup not present. The wallet reportedly contained five credit cards and $2,700 cash.

• FIGHT: Police investigated a report of a fight at a business between 4:21 and 4:40 a.m. Saturday in the 1900 block of MacKenna Avenue. Officers report dispersing a large crowd engaged in arguments and fights outside the building. Then, inside the building, another large crowd was dispersed for the same type of infraction. Police said a party involved in the event at the time said he was responsible for the door at a private party but he was unable to control the crowd. The crowd’s size caused congestion of streets in the area, preventing vehicles from proceeding, police said.

• IDENTITY THEFT: Police are investigating a report of unauthorized use of a debit card at a business in the 7800 block of Buffalo Avenue. The victim, a 25-year-old Falls man, told police he used his card at a restaurant Monday but was unable to locate the card following the transaction when he returned home. He said an unauthorized transaction appeared on his debit card statement Thursday afternoon for a $78 purchase at a drug store. He told police he called the store but no one could help him at the time, advising him to call Saturday.

• THEFT: Police are investigating a report of theft of gas at 10:30 p.m. Friday from a pump in the 700 block of Main Street. An employee at the gas station told police a vehicle with New York plates pulled into the business and a man proceeded to pump gas into the car and leave without paying. Officers report identifying the owner of the registered vehicle but did not provide any additional information.
