Town of Lockport

• THEFT: Deputies were called to a Whispering Pines Drive address on Monday afternoon for a report of items taken from an unlocked vehicle. The resident said that sometime during the night someone entered the vehicle parked in his driveway and took a GPS, cell phone charger and two boxes of shotgun ammunition. An empty box of shotgun ammo was taken to deputies to be checked for fingerprints. The estimated loss is $130.

• PRISON CONTRABAND: Elizabeth Z. Shufelt, 33, 37 Niagara St., was charged with second-degree promoting prison contraband on Friday. Brought to Niagara County Jail by Niagara Falls police, deputies said five Klonipin, a large pill, a burnt spoon, 10 baggies of with white powder residue, a straw with white powder and a possible piece of crack cocaine were found in her purse. The items were sent to the Niagara County forensics lab and additional charges may be pending.

 

City of Tonawanda

• DWI: Francis M. Christman, 34, of Cottage Street, North Tonawanda, was charged Saturday with DWI, two counts of passing a stop sign, driving the wrong way on a one-way street and criminal possession of a weapon. He had a loaded revolver in his vehicle and he refused to take a breath test.
