• DWI: Ronald D. Terry, 56, of Niagara Falls, was charged with DWI, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle and a traffic violation about 4 a.m. Friday, according to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office. Deputies were called to the area of River Road and Liberty Drive by a snow plow operator who said a car was stopped on River Road and a man was slumped over the steering wheel. When a deputy arrived, he tried numerous times to wake Terry, including knocking on the window and opening the door and yelling "Wake up." The deputy noted that the car was not running but the keys were in the ignition and there were three full cans of Old Vienna beer on the front passenger seat with an open can in the center console. After a couple minutes, Terry was roused by the deputy and told him "I am relaxing." He was eventually escorted from the car to a patrol vehicle and the deputy noted Terry was unable to walk on his own. He failed field sobriety tests and refused to take a breath test. Deputies noted his driver's license had been suspended for failure to answer a summons in Orange County, N.Y. He told deputies he has no current address and lives out of his car in the Falls area. In December, Terry was charged with two counts of driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, unreasonable speed and leaving the scene of a property damage accident after a crash in the Falls.
