A Lockport man was charged with DWI at Erie County Medical Center following a one-car crash about 4:30 p.m. Sunday on Robinson Road.
Arriving deputies found that a car driven by Michael A. Neuland, 20, 5660 Saunders Settlement Road, Lockport, had collided with a utility pole with traveling west on Robinson Road. Neuland was found unconscious in the driver's seat and had to be extricated due to damage to the car.

Taken to ECMC by ambulance, Neuland was interviewed by deputies there who said he appeared intoxicated, performed a pair of field sobriety tests and charged him. He refused to take a chemical test.
