• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 2200 block of Grand Avenue. A 42-year-old woman told officers that sometime between 8:30 and 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, someone broke into her apartment by unknown means. The victim said a 19-inch television and a laptop computer were taken.

• THEFT: Officers are looking into a theft from a store in the 1500 block of Military Road. A store manager told police that a female suspect was observed on surveillance video taking sterling silver jewelry and chains at 1 p.m., Wednesday. The value of the stolen merchandise is over $1,100.

• ARREST: A Falls woman was arrested for stealing the wallet of an employee at a store in the 1500 block of Military Road. Lena Mae Thomas, 61, 3356 Ninth St., was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny. A store cashier told police her wallet was taken around 1:15 p.m., Wednesday. Surveillance video showed Thomas reaching under the victim’s cash register and taking the wallet.

• THEFT: Police are investigating a truck break-in in the 4800 block of University Court. A 35-year-old man told officers that sometime between 7 p.m. Tuesday and 4 p.m. Wednesday, someone broke into his truck by unknown means. The victim said a GPS system was taken from the vehicle.
