BLOTTER: Police reports published May 16

Niagara Falls

• BURGLARY: Officers are looking into a burglary in the 600 block of Ashland Avenue. A 61-year-old man told police that sometime between 9 p.m., Sunday, and noon, Tuesday, someone broke into the basement by breaking a window. The victim said two mountain bikes were taken.

• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 700 block of Eighth Street. A 27-year-old woman told officers that sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, someone broke into her home by kicking in a rear door. The victim said three flat-screen televisions and a PlayStation 3 game system were taken.

• ARREST: A Falls woman was arrested after a shoplifting incident at a store in the 1700 block of Pine Avenue at 2 p.m., Wednesday. Andrea Ilene Jordan, 46, 1340 Whitney Ave., Apt. 3, was charged with petit larceny and false personation. She is accused of taking two phone chargers without paying for them and giving police a fake name at the time of her arrest.
