BLOTTER: Police reports published May 15

Niagara Falls

• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 3700 block of McKoon Avenue. A 42-year-old man told officers that sometime between 2 p.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday, someone broke into her garage through an unlocked door. The victim said three bicycles were taken.

• THEFT: Officers are looking into a theft from the 3000 block of Niagara Street. A business owner told police that sometime between May 5 and 4:08 p.m. Tuesday someone broke into a truck, used for storage at his auto shop, by cutting off a lock. The victim said a quantity of auto body parts and scrap metal was taken.


• BURGLARY: A Wilcox Street man reported that he’s had $2,130 worth of jewelry stolen over the last year, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office said. The man said that an unknown suspect entered the home and took the items. He has not seen any signs of forced entry into the home. The man first noticed the missing jewelry four months ago, the Sheriff’s Office said. The case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
