Niagara Falls

• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested after a reported traffic stop at 3:40 a.m. Friday near the intersection of 11th Street and Pierce Avenue. Krestain Watson, 36, 1637 Ontario Ave., was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, no insurance, improper plates and driving through a red light. When questioned, he reportedly told police the vehicle’s plates didn’t belong to the vehicle and he didn’t have a license. The plates were removed and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

 
• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested following a traffic stop at 2 a.m. Saturday in the 3100 block of Walnut Avenue. Randall Pawlak, 48, 301 70th St., was charged with driving while intoxicated and speeding after police reported witnessing him traveling 50 mph in a 30 mph zone. They said Pawlak failed field sobriety tests at the scene and a chemical test reported his blood alcohol content was above the legal limit.

 
• ARREST: Two Falls individuals were arrested following a reported shoplifting incident in a liquor store at 8:15 p.m. Friday in the 8400 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard. Wilford Boans, 54, and Christine Williams, 44, both of 1028 South Ave., were each charged with one count of petit larceny. Police report Boans attempted to take two small bottles of vodka while Williams put six small bottles of whiskey in her coat. A store employee witnessed the theft and, after they left the store without paying, confronted them and asked them to come back inside the store. They both reportedly returned the merchandise, a combined valued at $20.92.
