Niagara Falls

• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 1600 block of South Avenue. A 69-year-old man told officers that sometime between 4 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. Thursday, someone broke into the vacant home he was renovating by forcing open a side door. The victim said several sections of scaffolding were taken.

City of Lockport

• CHARGED: Shannon D. Cooper, 39, 204 Green St. lower was charged with endangering the welfare of a child Thursday. According to the report, the police were approached by a woman who saw a toddler walk across Park Avenue to a 7-Eleven store. The mother was working and Cooper was left in charge of the girl.
