Niagara Falls

• THEFT: Police are investigating a reported theft from a vehicle between 5 and 7 p.m. in the 100 block of Main Street. The victim, a woman of unknown age and location, said she was with a tour group when they parked their vehicle on the street. When they returned, she said, a passenger door's lock was "punched out" and many valuable items were missing, including three iPods, four iPhones, a saxophone, a Nintendo portable gaming system, a digital camera, credit cards and $2,000 cash. Upon checking, police were informed a credit card missing was used to make a $290 purchase at a store in Buffalo. The total amount of damages and lost property was $6,200.

• THEFT: Police are investigating a reported theft between 6 and 7 p.m. from a mission in the 1000 block of Ferry Avenue. A 43-year-old volunteer said she left her purse on a table in the kitchen and when she returned, her checkbook was sticking up. She said someone took all of her checks from the book. She said she already notified her bank and canceled the checks.

Wheatfield

DWI: Daniel R. Neri, 24, 427 26th St., Niagara Falls, was charged at 1:46 a.m. Friday with DWI, failure to signal, moving from a lane unsafely and a muffler violation. Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies pulled over Neri at Trails End Lane and Schultz Road after his vehicle allegedly crossed the center line. Neri failed field sobriety tests and his blood alcohol content was measured at 0.15 percent following a breath test. He is being held in lieu of $250 bail.
