• ROBBERY: Police are investigating a reported robbery which occurred at 6:15 a.m. Saturday at a laundromat in the 9500 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard. An employee, a 28-year-old woman, told officers she was asked by a white male if she could provide change for a $1 bill. When she opened the register, she said, the man reached over, grabbed a handful of money, which she estimated to be $20, and ran for the doorway. She said he dropped a dollar bill at the exit before making it through the door and fleeing east on foot. A witness to the event told police the man was about 5-foot-11 and weighed about 165 lbs. He said the man was wearing a light-colored camouflage jacket and black and white sneakers.

• FIGHT: Officers were called to a large fight which broke out between 2:30 and 2:45 a.m. Saturday at a lodge in the 3000 block of Highland Avenue. A bartender told police the fight occurred on the second floor and involved 15 people. Three victims reported injuries from the fight at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. A 36-year-old woman said she was at the bar with some friends when a 26-year-old woman approached them and started yelling. The victim said she tried to avoid trouble, but the 26-year-old hit her over the head with a bottle. In the ensuing fight, a 37-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man both said they were injured resulting in lacerations during the fight, which they both claimed they were trying to disperse. All three reportedly sought treatment.

• ARRESTS: A pair of men were arrested following a report of an unsafe driver called in to police between 7:50 and 8:30 p.m. Friday, concerning a vehicle in the 8700 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard. David Ross, 50, 4512 Simmons Road, Ransomville, was charged with driving while intoxicated and Stephen Hansen, 47, 3351 Lockport Road, Niagara Falls, was charged with obstructing governmental administration, following a traffic stop. At the scene, police reported Ross was asked to perform two field sobriety tests and failed both. Hansen, a passenger, meanwhile, questioned police about a search of the vehicle. After being transported to headquarters, officers report Ross registered 0.15 percent blood alcohol content in a test, which was administered one hour after being stopped.
