BLOTTER: Police reports published March 26

— Niagara Falls

• ARREST: A North Tonawanda woman was arrested after a shoplifting incident at a store in the 1500 block of Military Road at 5:20 p.m. Sunday. Shieann M. Charles, 18, 7324 Nash Road, was charged with petit larceny. She is accused of taking more than $40 worth of merchandise without paying for the items. 

 
• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 500 block of 24th Street. A 40-year-old man told officers that sometime between 4:30 and 7 p.m. Sunday, someone broke into his home by forcing open a rear door. The victim said a PlayStation 3 game system and 23 video games were taken.

 
• THEFT: A Falls cab driver was arrested after an altercation with a fare in the 2700 block of Willow Avenue at 9:40 p.m. Sunday. Nounou Barry, 19, 614 19th St., was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny. A 34-year-old woman told police Barry had agreed to charge her $3 for a cab ride and when she reached her destination, he told her she owed him $5. The victim said when she refused to pay $5, Barry dragged her out of the cab and took $38 and her cell phone. The pair then got into a physical altercation before Barry pushed the victim to the ground and drove away.

 
• INCIDENT: Officers are looking into a shooting incident in the 1600 block of Pine Avenue. A 22-year-old woman told police she heard three gun shots at around 10:17 p.m. Sunday. Police said they found a car behind the victim’s home that had a shattered back windshield and tail light. Officers said the damage appeared to have been caused by a bullet or BB.

 
• ROBBERY: Police are investigating a robbery in the 900 block of Pine Avenue. A convenience store clerk told officers he was counting money from his register at 11:18 p.m. when two male suspects, wearing white masks, black hoodies and gloves entered the business. The clerk said both suspects were armed, one with a handgun and one with a rifle. The suspect with the handgun demanded cash from the register while the rifle toting bandit fired a shot into the floor behind the sales counter. The clerk opened the cash register, suspects took all the money in it and then ran down the alley behind the store.
